So, after putting 10,000 miles on a Honda 250 enduro, 20,000 miles on a KLR, 20,000 miles on a Beemer airhead so far, 8,000 miles on a Cagiva Gran Canyon and about 15,000 miles so far on a Cagiva Elefant, I finally got my motorcycle license. Hooray! I passed!
Got pulled over a few weeks ago and the cop was a bit incredulous that, according to my insurance card, I owned a couple of motorcycles- but didn’t have the MC endorsement on my license.... So, finally, I’m totes legit. Woot! Woot!

Congrats! I need to get my M endorsement back on my license. Was licensed for 17 years or so until Colorado canceled my license about 10 years ago for a late paid parking ticket.
I’m not in too much of a hurry though, as my wife looks at me a little funny when I mention bikes.

And I thought I was ridin’ dirty for the two years I rode without a license*......
Congrats!
*Back in 1991, with a bicycle and a suspended license, I bought my neighbor’s motorcycle. In order to get it license plates, I had to have insurance, so I found a little strip mall insurance agency that for $100/month, would insure me.
I gave them them $100 for the first month and took my registration to the DMV to get license plates.
Three weeks later, the strip mall insurance company wrote me a letter saying they could no longer insure me because I didn’t have a driver’s license.
At the time I didn’t care, since I already had the plates. :) Two years later, I got it all straightened out.

It’s funny how the law works. Despite your tens of thousands of miles of experience on motorcycles, there was a few months there where I was legally qualified to ride a bike and you weren’t. I had maybe 10 miles on a scooter under my belt when I got my license :)

Did you take the MSF course? When I did mine it gave me a discount on insurance.

The KLR was my dd for a couple of years. Great bike- bought it for $650, doubled the mileage and then sold it for $1200.

Well while I didn’t ask for what happened when the cop pulled you over, that was a good answer...

“They tased me on my butthole.. Again and again!”
Haha... Nah, it was chill, $35 ticket that they dropped once I got my permit...
